Warranty and maintenance
All planting boxes are made from treated or waterproof materials (spruce, pine, birch plywood, film-coated plywood). Each box includes a geotextile bottom and interlayer, as well as a moisture barrier film to protect the walls and liner. Larger boxes include an internal support system, which must not be removed, as doing so voids the warranty.
The liner is treated and finished with two coats of exterior facade paint (Villa Akva, Tikkurila), applied vertically.
Custom finishes are also available using oil (Osmo) or various stains suitable for outdoor conditions.
The box does not include lightweight gravel or planting soil unless installation and filling are ordered separately.
The planter box is designed for year-round outdoor use.
Warranty is 2 years from the date of purchase.
Normal color fading and natural wood knot variations are not covered by the warranty.
Boxes made from planed wood may have some surface roughness, knots, hidden resin pockets, and minor surface cracks. During the process, we clean and fill all visible resin pockets; however, resin pockets within the wood may become visible in hot weather. Cracks or splits may appear or close at the outer corners of the liner depending on the season, as wood is a living material that expands or contracts based on the environment and time of year.
The key to the planter box’s longevity is regular maintenance, just like terraces, fences, and exterior cladding require care. It is recommended to repaint the box liner if the paint starts to crack or peel, or if the paint layer is no longer water-repellent.
All plywood-based planter boxes (Salvia collection) are made from moisture-resistant plywood and laminated/planed wood.
Moisture-resistant glue is used in assembling the components, and the boxes are treated and finished with linseed oil paints, oiled (Osmo), or stained with outdoor-grade wood stain.
These planter boxes are designed for indoor use and partial outdoor use, but not for year-round outdoor exposure. Suitable for terraces, balconies, and paved surfaces, but not for damp areas such as soil or grass.
Warranty is 2 years from the date of purchase.
Normal color fading and natural wood knot variations are not covered by the warranty.
When used outdoors, the planter box may develop some cracks and splits.

During the winter period, it’s advisable to keep the box in a dry, sheltered place.
